This Refund & Payment Policy (“Policy”) explains how payments are processed and clarifies the conditions under which refunds are (or are not) issued for services provided by LucasRentals.com (“Lucas Rentals,” “we,” “our,” or “us”). By submitting a payment through our platform, you agree to this Policy in addition to our Terms of Use and Privacy Policy.

1) Payment Overview

Lucas Rentals provides tenant screening and application-forwarding services designed to help renters connect with independent property owners. Fees collected through the Site cover the cost of these services, including third-party screening, verification, and data processing.

2) Accepted Payment Methods

We currently accept payments through secure third-party processors such as PayPal and other authorized payment gateways. By completing a transaction, you agree to the terms and privacy policies of those payment providers.

3) No Refunds or Returns

All payments for tenant screening and application processing are final and non-refundable. Once a payment is submitted and screening begins, it cannot be canceled, withdrawn, or refunded for any reason—including, but not limited to:

  • Denial or rejection by a property owner or manager.
  • Applicant withdrawal after submission.
  • Delays or non-responses from property owners.
  • Duplicate applications or user error during submission.

Tenant screening involves immediate costs for data retrieval, processing, and third-party verification. Because these services begin the moment an application is submitted, refunds cannot be issued under any circumstance.

4) Errors and Disputes

If you believe you were charged in error, please contact hello@lucasrentals.com within seven (7) days of payment. We will review each case to determine if a technical issue occurred. Refunds will only be considered if a duplicate charge was made due to a verified system error.

5) Payment Security

All transactions are encrypted and processed securely through our payment partners. Lucas Rentals does not store or have direct access to your full credit card or banking information. We use industry-standard security protocols to ensure safe transactions.

6) Chargebacks and Unauthorized Transactions

Submitting a chargeback or payment dispute without first contacting us may result in suspension of your account. If a chargeback is found to be fraudulent or in violation of these Terms, we reserve the right to recover all associated fees and costs.

7) Policy Changes

Lucas Rentals may update this Policy from time to time. Updates will be reflected by the “Last Updated” date above and will take effect immediately upon posting. Continued use of our platform after any update constitutes your acceptance of the revised Policy.
